Dear Parents,

I hope you got my letter about me leaving my substitute position for Room 135! (this is a short version of it..posted for the blog).

What a fantastic few months we’ve had together, it was fun!

It has been my pleasure and privilege getting to know your family. Your child’s personality continues to unfold day by day and I marvel at this splendid miracle of their development. I want to express my gratitude for the excellent support that you have given me, it is something I will always cherish.

I shall miss you and your child greatly, and yet it is time to go…in the words of Dr. Seuss…

“The more that you read,
The more things you will know.
The more that you learn,
The more places you’ll go”.

I wish you all well in life and I hope we meet again!

I know on Friday we were suppose to watch The Lorax, but there were so many interruptions and when we did watch it the room we were in was too loud.

• is the film/movie different from the book
• how did you think the characters were going to sound before hearing their animated voices
• did you like the book better or the film better?
• what would you do if you were a character the book?
• which character would you like to be?
