Dear Parents,

            This is just to let you know that every Monday your child will bring home 5 new spelling words to practise. However, you should know spelling does not count towards your child’s Language Arts mark. My spelling program is to encourage the recognition of words and use of phonics to help assist your child in becoming active in their reading and writing skills.

            To help your child with their writing please consider the following. Give your child the opportunity to write down:

-         Shopping / Grocery lists

-         Writing stories

-         Keeping a journal/diary

-         Writing letters and cards for friends and family

-         Buying word cards from Dollarama

Are just a few ways to encourage your child to start writing.

FALL WALK!

Today we went on our FALL WALK!
We looked at the beautiful colours. Talked about the changes in our environment (what happens to the green grass...green trees etc...) The smell of the leaves. The different animals that need to collect food. It was a great day exploring our community and looking at the changes in the season of fall!

Social Studies: Rules and Responsibililities

For Social Studies we are learning about Rules and Responsibilities
Last week we acted out dramatic roles about being responsible!

It is your responsibility to remember to feed your pets!

Group 2

It is your responsibility to remember to put away your toys neatly!

Group3

It is your responsibility to remember where you put your things!

Group 4

It is your responsibility to remember to finish what you are doing first before you start something else!
